The game says a to shoot and space to jump while description says x to shoot and c to jump.

WLCSoft responds:

That's strange. "Space" used to be jump in an early version of the game but it's been a really long time since I changed it to the controls mentioned in the description. Thank you for informing about this issue.

Edit 1: I think I figured out what happened. Is it possible that you had played the earliest version of this game, which was published here almost a year ago? If you did, maybe some data from the old project is still stored in your browser. I tried this new version of the game in a PC I used only to test the first version, almost a year ago, and the same happened here. Clearing my browser data solved the problem.

So defeated both medusa and the dragon and got both achievents but somehow both bosses came back to life and killed us. Then after leaving the game complete game data got deleted. Can't even view other player levels despite beating level 12 according to achievements.

Also is there an achievement/secret for beating a level WITHOUT giving humans powers? Because did that the entire run in case of any secrets, don't see any so is there no secret for doing so?

Edit: currently making a few videos on that, currently 1 to 11 can definately be beaten without glitches though one level requires losing lives to teleport back to starting platform. 12 might only be beaten through no-clipping glitches but again that ain't intentional, going to see how far you can go without giving powers to humans.

jacklehamster responds:

The game data was previously stored as localstorage, but that got unreliable. I just switched to CloudSave, i hope it helped.

I'll try to see fix the issues with bosses you encountered.

Hum... I didnt try to beat the game without giving superpowers, is that possible?

Hits home as a transgirl too. Kind of want to see a continuation of the story if there is any.

Bleak-Creep responds:

I did want to expand it outward a bit, just to let you see some side stories within this one, but I don't have any plans to go forward with it at all at the moment. I need to write those side stories though...

Once you do your first attempt, the laptop won't let you leave to run alternative routes but let you see what you did find and didn't find.

CANCAT-Games responds:

You can close the "timeline inspector" and restart the laptop and your game in order to find more secrets. Your timeline progress should carry over too. :]

Great game but man, having centipede + homing missiles and the ground spider thing all at once is so annoying with 40s left.

Another issue is probably the shop. You can only choose 1 card and it forces you back in the game but you can repair before choosing so until realised that was the case, honestly thought you had to choose between 2 upgrades and a repair so if you do update you might want to give an indicator for that. If there is then missed it due to bad vision :/

QualityStuff499 responds:

Its fully doable! The fish are the worst enemy for sure imo, anyways good eye on the upgrade thing, i will get on to changing it along with the other stuff the commenters said, really appreciate yalls actually well written criticism, thanks for the good review!

How do you reset your score? Didn't realise you had a limited amount of revives and now debt is getting too high to unlock other characters.

blit-blat responds:

I’m afraid you’ll have to clear your local storage to start again! It should be obviously named, BB-gauntlet-web or something similar, so it should be easy enough to delete. That said, drowning in debt is the true Gauntlet experience! It’s how people end up there in the first place!

Beat the game plus have the "have 15 ships of each class at once" achievement but didn't get the all the ship achievements or the kill the entire human population achievement.

It is a great game but those things really broke it for us personally. If it took so long to grind for a single victory then it doesn't feel worth it trying to beat the game again in the slight case you regain your achievements. :(

blit-blat responds:

Reload the game and they should unlock automatically. If they don’t let me know and I can unlock them for you! Thanks for playing!

Nice game but there might be an issue with the achievement to kill the monster.
If you enter the blue cave to hell, you can't get out thus the monster can't leave the cave with you.

Didn't get the achievement and only got an idea by the comments, if this isn't the right method can you tell?

Chris responds:

The monster can appear anywhere on the map, but just always spawns in the cave.

To get the achievement you need to find the monster out of the cave and attempt to get it run over by a car

Honestly have 3 main complaints, game overs full resetting the game, timing feel difficult and with bad laptops, the game becomes pretty bad at detecting inputs and becomes slow in frame rate.

The last one is more of a hardware issue but timing and mainly the full reset for the demo is still brutal.

SquishY-Bottom responds:

The steam version solves all 3 of these, consider giving it a try!

Honestly had to give up at the bossfight (if there are more than one then quit at the 1st and reached stage 3 once)

Ignoring fact that the bossfight is literally forcing you to play 3 difficult levels back to back deathless which is infuriating.

The ONLY complaint has got to be the lag. Died 487 times and only about a quarter were from non-lag related deaths. Even so, a good amount of that quarter was due to the enemies placed next to the player meaning unless they memorized the levels in the past, it is a forced death for unprepared.

The particles and amount of enemies made so many levels feel luck based in order to complete. You put an input and if nothing happens then that means 1 of 2 things: It didn't registered or it is delayed and for this kind of game, both are horrible.

Sometimes when running and lagging, the game seemingly auto runs for the player with no way to do easy turns or stop.

Honestly the biggest challenge of the game is not the puzzles or layout, it is lag.

**The game is a GOOD game in idea, mechanics and visuals**
>but it is painful to complete levels when particles cause you to freeze in place every 1 second or speed the game for enemies.

rcab responds:

Hey! I'm sorry this has been frustrating. Could you please tell me what your computer config is? All movements and mechanics are supposed to stay very stable in all situations, I wonder if it's Construct 3's physics calculations becoming inaccurate because of low/unstable framerate? There is also this issue where browsers are not always using hardware acceleration/GPU so you get bad framerate in games like this.

Again, sorry about the lag! I'm actively investigating this.
